We are currently seeking a Process/Quality Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the PIL Leader, the Process/Quality Specialist will provide subject matter expertise regarding color formulation and product characterization to the Laboratory to ensure conformance with in- process and finished goods specifications.
The Process/Quality specialist teams with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement teams for overall product improvement.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
The specific responsibilities of the Process/Quality Specialist include, but are not limited to:
- Using the current ERP system, the release of final product into inventory through appropriate usage decision.
- Formulation of Finished Goods blends to customer specifications.
- Issuance of Plant Directives for Finished Goods manufacturing.
- Conducting laboratory experiments to support manufacturing.
- Determining use of raw materials and intermediate materials through appropriate usage decision to ensure conformance with finished goods specifications.
- Maintaining quality and process improvement related worksheets.
- Maintaining controlled documents according to the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
- Utilizing and maintaining critical spectrophotometric laboratory equipment.
- Management of the Sample Supply process to fulfill both Internal and Commercial Requests.
- Generating internal and regulatory documentation for Customer Service and Customers.
- Execution of special tasks and projects as directed.
- Training and participating in specified PIL programs and projects as identified by PIL Leader
- Training and gaining education as a back-up for colorist activities participating in formulations.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Chemistry, or related concentration.
- Preferred Minimum 3 years in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and proficiency with remaining MS Office suite
